The following is a statement from ISOA regarding the recent Executive Orders on government spending issued from the White House.
Foreign Assistance 90-day freeze:
Wed., Jan. 29 @ 9 am EST: ISOA is hosting a Members-Only Open Session to Discuss the 90-day Freeze on Foreign Assistance. Please contact support@stability-operations.org to receive an invitation to this Teams meeting.
Thu., Jan. 30 @ 9 am EST: ISOA is hosting a members-only webinar to discuss all the ramifications of this action. Robert Nichols of Nichols Liu will present an overview and analysis and there will be time for questions. Register for the webinar

Possible hold on DoD contracts:
After discussions with our contacts in OSD, nothing is definitive at this time other than to say that OSD leadership is working to minimize the divergent approaches across the department. OSD is aware that some MILDEPs and Defense Agencies are reacting more aggressively than others in this regard. OSD anticipates these disruptions to be short-lived, and they are working with the department heads of agencies to minimize the impact and hasten a return to normal operations.
