ISOA Fireside Chats - Operation Warp Speed on Dec. 15

Thursday, December 10, 2020

OPERATION WARP SPEED
The Development and Deployment
of the COVID-19 Vaccine

The International Stability Operations Association (ISOA) is honored to host Army Maj. Gen. Christopher J. Sharpsten, director of supply and distribution for Operation Warp Speed (OWS), for its first in a series of ISOA fireside chats: “Extraordinary Among the Ordinary” on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 from 9am-10am.

While our way of life continues to be dictated by the virus, there is light at the end of the tunnel thanks to the remarkable government-industry partnership known as Operation Warp Speed, whose primary objective is to inoculate 300 million Americans against the coronavirus by Spring 2021.

Multiple vaccines, developed in record time, appear to be on the cusp of approval in the U.S. Once approved, an extraordinary logistical undertaking will be required to ensure that a vaccine is delivered to every American in every U.S. state and territory. “This is quite possibly the most important program of our lifetime,” says Kelley DeConciliis, Chairman of ISOA Board of Directors. “The whole world is watching and waiting on this logistics’ rubix cube. During this event, we will have a front row seat to understanding the mindset and pressure one is under like Sharpsten."
