Greetings Colleagues:

I would like to invite you to a virtual event we are hosting in partnership with The World Bank, Afghanistan Women's Chamber of Commerce and Industries and Afghan-American Chamber of Commerce to discuss the status of Afghan peace talks and how to secure women's gains in the future of Afghanistan's economy. The event will be on October 21st at 9:00am EST. Please see below flyer for more details and here is the link for registration for easy reference: https://events.r20.constantcontact.com/register/eventReg?oeidk=a07ehcsfh0td0f3cfe9&oseq=&c=&ch=

The Afghan peace talks in Doha provide an opportunity to secure the economic advances made by women during the past two decades and ensure their future role in the economy. There is also concerns that the gains made by female entrepreneurs, businesswomen and women in the paid economy are in jeopardy as the Taliban negotiate its return to the formal political process.

Our distinguished panelists among them three Afghan women cabinet Ministers and President of Afghanistan Women's Chamber of Commerce and Industry, will respond to questions posed by women and female entrepreneurs in Afghanistan as well as from the audience. I am pleased to share that the discussion will be moderated by the former US Under Secretary of State Dr. Sarah Sewall.

I hope you will be able to join us for the upcoming virtual event. Please feel free to email me if you have any questions.

Thank you and look forward to seeing you next week.

Regards.

Rohullah Osmani
