PROTECTING CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE: AN INTRODUCTION TO THE NEW KRITIS REGULATIONS IN GERMANY
Presented by the ISOA Europe Chapter
August 22, 2024 Düsseldorf, Germany
Recent events, such as extremist attacks on the critical infrastructure of the Federal Republic of Germany, have caused the threat situation to change significantly. As a result, Germany has recently implemented Critical Infrastructure Protection legislation
(KRITIS) which regulates operators of critical infrastructure – such as energy, transport, water and finance – in order to strength their physical security and resilience. Operators of critical facilities will in the future be legally obliged to implement
security measures in accordance with the KRITIS Umbrella Act, implementing the EU CER Directive (EU 2022/2557). Specifically, the KRITIS Umbrella Act will regulate reporting obligations, BCM, physical security, personnel and crisis management starting
in (est.) October 2024.
This focused ISOA workshop will introduce the new KRITIS Regulations and explore some potential solutions. The workshop will also delve into security support for German industry, government facilities, and schools as well as the GIZ (German Aid &
Development) missions in Ukraine and various countries in Africa and the Middle-East.
The presentations and panels will be followed by a Networking Reception. The ISOA Europe Chapter negotiated special rates at the Lohauserhof Hotel in the immediate vicinity of the Dusseldorf Airport. - 115 € (double occupancy)
- 99 € (single occupancy)
- Breakfast included
- Book rooms at info@lohauserhof.de under the keyword ISOA.
This event is sold out! Please contact ISOA Europe Chapter Director Tobias Beutgen at tbeutgen@stability-operations.org to join the waitlist. Thank you to our sponsors:
